Amber comes from a long background in education. A mother herself, she has an absolute love of children and has worked with all ages, developmental levels, and backgrounds. From a Service Learning Educator for children in inner city schools, to a basketball coach for Special Olympics, to teaching yoga across many states, Amber’s passion really lies in working with children and helping empower them to find their inner light, develop healthy self-esteem, and learn ways to effectively manage emotions, and understand helpful self-regulation tools.

She holds an Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Community-Based Program Management, a certificate in Accelerated Learning Techniques–how to integrate the mind and body and teach for diverse learning styles, a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, and is a certified, licensed and insured Children’s Yoga instructor, earning her certificate through the highly respected program of Next Generation Yoga in 2013, with continuing education certificates from Cosmic Kids Yoga, trauma-informed yoga instruction from Little Flower Yoga, and most recently, adding Functional Physiology as a concentration from Physiology First.

She is a student of yoga herself, and firmly believes in all of the mind, body, & soul benefits it offers, and loves that it is an activity that can be done anytime, anywhere, and for the rest of your life! The best part of teaching is watching the absolute  joy of the children as they use creative energy and their amazing imaginations to bring the poses to life,  learn techniques for balance, energy, flexibility and strength, and also focus, relaxation, and stress reduction. The classes are fun, playful, engaging, non-competitive, and students are able to freely express themselves through their own imitation of a pose (corrections are only made if there is a danger of injury–otherwise, there is no “perfect”, and no “wrong” way–just your own way!).
